Wining and dining at The Mitre is a relaxing and enjoyable culinary experience with a choice of bar meals served in our Lounge Bar or more substantial dishes served in the Mediterranean styled 48-seater Brasserie Restaurant.

 

 


All of our food is freshly sourced and prepared on the premises. For your function or meeting, our Chef can  create bespoke menus or buffets upon request.

 

 

 We have a special offer available on Monday to Thursday evenings where you can enjoy 2 courses for £11.50 on dishes from our Bar menu (excludes steak, specials & side dishes).

Bar Meals

High quality, home-cooked food is served in our lounge bar on the following days/times:


Monday-Thursday : 12 noon-2.30pm & 6.00pm - 9.00pm
Friday/Saturday : 12 noon -2.30pm & 5.30pm - 9.00pm
Sundays: 12 noon -4.00pm (Sunday roast and full bar menu available)

All of our meals whether it be a light sandwich or more substantial bar meal are beautifully presented and served with all the trimmings that you would expect.

The Lounge Bar has ample seating and reservations are not required; however we do get especially busy at the weekends. If you are looking for a more traditional dining experience, then we recommend that you sample our Brasserie Restaurant.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Brasserie Restaurant

The Brasserie is situated on the ground floor of The Mitre and has been furnished to create a relaxed and contemporary theme.

 

 

A marble tiled floor, contemporary lighting and specially commissioned fabric wall art (including a felt interpretation of Knaresborough's famous viaduct)  create an ambience perfect for an intimate dining experience.

 

 

The Brasserie has a capacity of up to 48 diners and even though booking isn't required, we recommend giving us a call first to avoid any disappointment.

 

 

The main kitchen is situated at the far end of the restaurant and is open plan so that you can see the chefs hard at work preparing your food from our extensive and daily changing Brasserie Menu.

 

 

The Brasserie Restaurant is open on the following days/times:

 

 

  • Friday & Saturday: 5.30pm -9.30pm

 Otherwise by special arrangement The Brasserie can be booked at other times for your own private function.
